Experience that strengthen my procedural skills

My expectations for the elective were to experience medicine and healthcare in another part of the world that is so different from our own in Australia as well as to be enriched with another culture. After finishing the program, I depart with a greater understanding of the challenges faced by Nepal within the healthcare system as well as an appreciation and respect of the people and culture of Nepal. I furthered my medical knowledge and had plenty of opportunities to develop my procedural skills. This experience will shape who I am as a future doctor.
