I had the most amazing time in Nepal with Nardev, his family and all the great people I met along the way. I chose Internship Nepal because I wanted to experience medicine in a different environment and they had a great medical program. I did not have any expectations before coming over and was actually quite nervous as I’d never travelled alone before. My experience with Internship Nepal was so much better than I could’ve imagined. I was placed in Tribhuvan Teaching Hospital for three weeks and was part of the general/GI surgical team. I was given so many opportunities to observe and be involved in surgeries, ward rounds and clinics. Everyone was extremely helpful and I learnt alot about medical care in Nepal. I am grateful for having this experience and really encourage anyone who wants to step out of their comfort zone and be challenged to come to Nepal.
